Introduction

Day 1: Bangkok

Welcome to the bustling Bangkok! Big city huh!? There will be a welcome meeting tonight around 6pm, but please check notice board or with reception for exact time. If you arrive early and have the whole day, why not check out city, take a river boat tour, check out Bangkok’s famous markets, or perhaps a Thai massage sounds appealing after your long flight! 

Accommodation- Astera Sathorn or similar (1 night)

Day 2: Overnight Train

We will start the day with a visit to one of the Bangkok markets: from knock off designer trainers to an array of fresh fruit and veg, to intricate thai souvenirs to send home and what a fabulous atmosphere too! We will then cruise along the Chao Praya and watch the people pass by en route to Wat Pho, one of the largest and oldest temples in Bangkok. This afternoon you will have some free time to explore this wonderful city with The Grand Palace being highly recommended! Tonight we will board a comfortable overnight train to Surat Thani - Approx 13 hours.

A side note: The train is basic but comfortable: bunk beds, shared facilities and air-conditioning.

Day 3: Khao Sok

We will arrive into Surat Thani early this morning and transfer by bus to Khao Sok National Park. You will be amazed at its beauty - dense rain forrest, with exotic wildlife and plays a plenty! The colours are incredible! There are some beautiful walking trails that lead to some awesome waterfalls along side the huge Cheow Lan Lake, cruise along it and see dramatic limestone cliffs, set against an out of this world jungle backdrop! Tonight you will stay at a simple raft house, which is literally perched on the lake…! Wait till you see that view in the morning!

Day 4: Khao Sok

We are heading for the hills today and will spend the night in a jungle bungalow. There is plenty of walking and wildlife spotting to be done in this region. Why not venture to Lake Cheow Lan, which is not too far away… alternatively just take the time to chill out, embrace your surroundings and listen to the exotic sounds from the jungle!

Day 5: Ao Nang

We travel today to the beautiful, Ao Nang, Krabi, home to white sandy beached and limestone rocks darting out of the turquoise waters. The main street is rather lively with restaurants and bars and market stalls. Grab a cocktail or a beer and perhaps have a boogie?!

Day 6: Ao Nang

Today you have a free day to explore. Why not take an island hopping boat trip for the day? You can also get a boat to Railay which is a great place to relax on the beach, you can go rock climbing here too. Rent kayaks for the day or swim in the crystal clear waters. You are in paradise!

Day 7: Pulau Penang 

We will travel across the boarder to Malaysia, be prepared for a long travel day today, but lots to feast your eyes on out of the window! You will go through the Thai check point and though the Malaysian check point to arrive in Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia’s prized island! You have probably heard of Penang curry, this is the home of it! There is loads to se here!

Day 8: Pulau Penang

Let’s check out Georgetown today! You will be taken on an orientation walk through the city, then some free time in the afternoon to do some exploring of your own. Penang is famous for it's cuisines, so make sure you try as much food as you can! Check out Kek Lok Sii - the largest Buddhist temple in Malaysia or take to the unspoilt trails of Malaysia's smallest National Park at Teluk Bahang.

Day 9: Cameron Highlands

We will travel by minivan today through the beautiful Cameron Highlands. This area is a great place for a getaway from the hot and sticky jungle -  a favourite getaway for the colonial British and what goes hand in hand with British leisure…? Tea! Tour the plantations if you like! Those less genteel and more adventure-seeking might take a rainforest jungle trek, or a half-day trip to the second-highest mountain the highlands.

    Day 10: Kuala Lumper

    We shall travel by public bus to the vibrant Kuala Lumper (approx. 5 hours). KL as it is also know as is great! Your amazing and knowledgeable leader will take you for a walk around the city to the Indian, Chinese and ethnic Malay people. You will be staying in the buzzing Chinatown, full of nightmarkets and cool places to eat! There is lots to see in this cosmopolitain metropolis!

    Day 11: Kuala Lumper

    Free day! Go explore! Make sure you take a visit to the Iconic Petronas Towers (Twin Towers). You will need tickets for this so get up early- ask your leader how the system works! Pataling Street is the best place to it tonight, where the night market is situated… Test out all the different cuisines and barter for a bargain! Always fun!

    Day 12: Melaka

    Melaka is our next stop! We will take a public bus (Approx. 3 hours) This place is intriguing that is for sure! There is a wealth of interesting architecture to feast your eyes on! Great food here too! Melaka was once one of the most important trading port in Malaysia, so as you can imagine has a vast array of cultural diversities! From Dutch to Portuguese, Indian, Chinese and British traders. Check out Harmony Street where these communities have their places of worship, with a church, mosque, and a couple of different temples all on the one street. Peace out!

    Singapore here we come! We take a 5 hour public bus journey to this cosmopolitain mecca! On arrival your wonderful leader will take you around this ever evolving metropolis! Tonight will be your last night to chill, party, explore with your fellow travel companions Have a fabulous last night!

    Day 14: Singapore

    Bid farewell to your newfound friends as today is a leaving day.
