Thank you returning or choosing to visit Nepal. By visiting you are helping Nepal get back on its feet after the devastating earthquake of April 2015, so something to be very proud of. The following trip notes reflect our itineraries before the earthquake occurred. As Nepal rebuilds, As you can imagine there are likely to be changes. We may not be able to visit some destinations and sights, some accommodation may be closed and some activities may not be available. We are working closely with our operations team in Nepal to finalise as much as we can.
We will be able to let you know about some of these changes in advance before you travel. Others may need to be communicated to you by your tour leader once you are already in the country. We ask all our travellers to be flexible, patient and understanding both as you prepare for your travels and while on your trip in Nepal.

Day 1: Kathmandu (1360M)
Today is an arrival day so there will be a pre-departure meeting in the evening (usually around 6 pm). We will go through the trip brief and you will meet your fellow travel companions for the next few weeks. If you arrive early, go out and explore this wonderful city, Bodhnath Stupa, one of the biggest Buddhist shrines in the world is a must. Perhaps take a wander down to Kathmandu’s Durbar Square.There will be an optional dinner in the evening.

Day 2- 3: Pokhara (850M)
Take in the views as we drive over Kathmandu Valley and if the weather holds up views of Ganesh and Lantang ranges. Arrive in Baireni/Galaudi for an exhilarating white water rafting trip on the Triisuli River. Sit on the beach and and enjoy dinner by the river!

More river fun this morning! In the late morning we will end the rafting at Kurintar and after a light lunch we will drive to Pokhara which is an approx 4 Hour drive. The rest of the afternoon/evening is yours to explore, why not chill out in lake side cafes?
Day 4-6: Annapurna Trek
We will do around 5 hours trekking per day, take in the wondrous sights of the Modi Khola river, Ghandruk and Tolka.
Accommodation Trekking Lodge or similar, Phakding
Day 4: Ghandruk (1950M)
Set off for the Annapurna Trek.
Take in the beautiful majestic views of the Annapunrna Mountains visiting villages on the way. (Walking time- Approx 5 hours).
Day 5: Tolkha (1700M)
Another exciting 5 hours of trekking through amazing scenery - camera at the ready!
Day 6: Hyenjakot (1530M)
Stay overnight in Hyenjakot, a place which boasts epic panoramic views. Enjoy Sunset and sunrise from the lodge.
Day 7-9 Pokhara and Kathmandu
Day 7: Pokhara (850M)
Today we will drive back to Pokhara through terraced hillsides, the afternoon can be spent by the lake relaxing or perhaps you can take a boat out or use your free time time to explore the traditional cute nepalese shops.
Day 8: Kathmandu (1360M)
We will catch a bus back to Kathmandu taking in view of the meandering Tripoli River.
Day 9: Kathmandu (1360M)
Explore Kathmandu, or relax in a city cafe - Free time all day!
Day 10-11: Chitwan National Park
Today we will leave Kathmandu early and drive to the animal clad Chitwan National Park, animal lovers paradise. Attempt to spot a range of wildlife such as sloth bears, deer, a range of birds, rhinoceros and if you are lucky tigers. There is also time for optional activities including rafting and jeep safari’s.

Day 12: Lumbini
This is an ultimate jungle experience! This lodge is set in fantastic bush environment and will make you feel like you are Mowgli from the Jungle Book. We will wander our luscious green surroundings and visit the temples constructed from Buddhist around the world, check out the Maya Devi Temple and the ancient Ashoka Pillar. Tonight we will sleep in an authentic camp.

Day 13-15 Varanasi
Today we will cross into India and continue our journey. We will set off on an early morning boat cruise on the famous Ganges river, named after the Hindu Goddess Ganga - a truly magical experience. After this we will take a guided walk through Varanasi’s back lane and crowded alleyways.
We will then jump aboard an overnight train to Agra…this is a fun experience!

Day 16: Agra- Taj Mahal
The Taj Mahal awaits...You may have to wipe a tear or two from those eyes as something quite special comes overs you when you see the Taj for the first time. You will have free time to take in the magical Taj and its surroundings so get snappy happy- take lots of photos! There will be an optional trip to the mighty Agra Fort.
Hotel- Hotel Royal Regency or something similar
Day 17: Tordi Garh
This is a little gem that not many tourist travel to. A small village in Rajasthan with a local market and local temple, here you will see the real Indian country life.You can also meet families and other members of the local community. Sleep overnight in the Tordi Palace, with the owner being your host.

Day 18-19: Jaipur
Otherwise known as the Pink City, Jaipur is home to the Amber Fort and the Palace of the Winds.
Great place to chill and test out the local foods such as the delicious Thali dish, also great for people watching!
Day 18: Travel to Jaipur
Day 19: Jaipur
Today we will take a trip to the Amber Fort, take a tour of the Old Bazar and the Palace of
the Winds.The afternoon you will free time to explore the wonderful Jaipur.

Day 20-21 Delhi
Usually Delhi is a culture shock but, as you have already experienced a week of India you will not bat an eye lid when a random cow wanders into the restaurant. Put your haggling skills to the test and of course try some Chai.
Day 20 Travel Day
Travel by bus to Delhi, Enjoy some free time relaxing or perhaps visit the Red Fort or the Red Ghat. Optional final group meal.

The trip will end after breakfast…Say bye bye to your new chums and if you choose to stay longer there is plenty more to see in Delhi!
